The pull-down type press has a low center of gravity relative to the foundation surface. Even in high-speed operation it remains free of vibration, because its center of gravity is hardly affected by eccentric loads, resulting in an extremely stable forging operation. Nearly all of its hydraulic parts, including the cylinder, control valve, piping etc., are installed under the floor, leaving a wide open working area around the press. Because of the press’ low height the factory can also be built low, resulting in lower construction cost, not to mention the advantage of a lower overhead traveling crane, making it easier to operate.
